Smart Soft Matter Lab

Our research focuses on fundamental and applied investigations on soft materials (emphasis on liquid crystalline materials). 

We seek to understand intermolecular / interparticular / interfacial phenomena in soft materials to provide physicochemical insights into the design of new class of multi-functional materials that will find applications in a variety of field, including 

1) Drug Delivery System, 2) Cosmetics, 3) Self-Propelling Particles (e.g., Bacteria, Droplets), 4) Soft-Robotics, 

5) Chemical/Bio-Sensors, 6) Molecular Dynamic Simulations, 7) Molecular/Colloidal Self-Assembly (Design of 3D Nano- & Micro-Scale Materials), 8) AR/VR Displays.

본 연구실에서는 연성 소재를 활용하여 다양한 첨단 분야에 활용되는 원천 기술 개발에 중점을 두고 있습니다.

풍부한 연구시설과 적극적인 연구지원을 통해 대학원생들에게 연구 자유도를 최대한 부여하고 있으며, 다양한 해외 학회 (최소 1회/년) 및 국내 학회 (최소 2회/년) 참여 기회를 제공하고 있습니다.
